As your parent coach and guide, my goal is to lead you through a reflective process to help you feel more clear, confident, hopeful and at ease.

Over a span of eight-weeks, reflect mindfully on what nourishes your spirit and supports your stability while managing the ups and downs of daily life.

Plant seeds of change with Essentials

This four-week programme invites you to manage challenging behaviours using virtues-based strategies that improve your relationship with your child and support your child’s development.

 

Deepen connection and strengthen communication with Grow Roots

During this eight-week dive into virtues-based parenting, you and your child activate a vocabulary of character, nourishing the parent-child bond in strong preparation for the storms of adolescence.

 

Create space for your vision to blossom with Grow Shoots

During this eight-week parent coaching process, you learn to leverage a personal-growth parenting tool that you can continue to use as your family’s needs and priorities evolve over time.

Still Point

Resource Yourself from the Inside Out

In the intimate setting of a small group of mothers, we visit each of the energy centres that inform our ability to live life fully. Referencing 80 qualities of spirit (virtues) and 80 practices of the authentic self, we turn our attention inwards to make us more effective outwards. Throughout the eight weeks, you practice two mindfulness-based tools that busy mothers can use on the go to relieve stress and connect to inner stillness.

Week 1: Live Life Fully

Introductions and setting the stage for a meaningful and safe group process.

 

Week 2: Make Home Safe & Comfortable

Reflect on questions and virtues relating to settling securely into the body and the world.

 

Week 3: Find Ease

Reflect on questions and virtues relating to the ability to flow with emotions.

 

Week 4: Tend the Flame

Reflect on questions and virtues related to personal agency and harnessing the will.

 

Week 5: Channel Love

Reflect on questions and virtues related to opening the heart and healthy connection.

 

Week 6: Honour Truth

Reflect on questions and virtues related to authentic communication.

 

Week 7: Perceive Potentials

Reflect on questions and virtues related to seeing beyond limitations.

 

Week 8: Connect to Source

Reflect on questions and virtues related to mystery and relationship to Spirit.

 

Prior to each session you are invited to sit with the virtues and questions related to the theme of the week, bringing to the group what you would like to share. Following each session, you may support a mindbody exploration of the theme with a one-hour, chakra yoga practice, provided by Amy Fitta of FittaYoga.

Essentials

Plant Seeds of Change

In these four sessions I share three simple but powerful strategies that help you feel more peaceful, hopeful and purposeful in your parenting journey. Endorsed by the Dalai Lama and honoured by the United Nations for its contribution to global families, The Virtues Project™ offers parents of all cultures strategies for raising children with a positive sense of self and respect for others. You can immediately implement what you learn to start to make a difference in family life.

Session 1: 
Intake

Together, we review your Intake Form to gain a clear picture of how things are, with a view to exploring your best hopes.

Session 2:
Effective Language

I share two strategies with you for using language effectively to nourish the parent-child relationship and support a child’s emotional resilience.

Session 3: 
Effective Boundaries

We delve into the topic of using parental authority in ways that build trust and foster a child’s self-esteem and self-worth.

Session 4:

Going Deeper

We tap a deeper knowing to gain new awareness, reflecting on positive growth and what still needs to be nurtured.

Grow Roots

Deepen Connection & Strengthen Communication

 

This programme is for parents of young children who have completed Essentials and are keen to deepen the bonds of relationship that can keep children safe during the tumultuous teenage years. Over the course of eight weeks, you practice strategies proven to support connection, as well as promote emotional intelligence and self-confidence.

 

You and your child get acquainted with Doodle-Ever-After©, a story and child-friendly cards my son and I created to help parents activate a vocabulary of character. 

Sessions 1-4:

You learn how to keep the door of communication open and practice listening and speaking skills that develop a child’s self-awareness and ability to sit with strong emotion.

Sessions 5-7:

You learn how to guide a child to explore solutions and practice listening and speaking skills that help children see themselves as strong and capable.

Session 8:

We review your confidence with applying The Five Strategies and focus on the core ingredients of joy and connection that bring meaning and balance to the everydayathon of life.

Grow Shoots

Create Space for Your Vision to Blossom

This programme is for parents who have completed Essentials and are committed to nurturing a new vision for themselves and their family. Over the course of eight weeks, you discover what is working well, dream of how things could be better, design small changes and celebrate your new destiny as you grow into a life more aligned with your personal values and priorities. The programme is designed in a way that makes the experience uplifting, leaving you feeling motivated, clear and hopeful about the future.

 

During these sessions you engage with The Parent Deck©, a tool I developed for parents to gain insight into areas of strength and growth. You can continue to use this set of reflection cards to make adjustments as your needs and priorities evolve over time.

Session 1: 

Together, we review your key learnings from Essentials, highlighting what is already working well in family life.

Sessions 2-4:

We focus on deep yearnings and what feeds your spirit, envisioning family life rising to its highest potential.

Session 5-7: 

We pan out to your big-picture goal, breaking this down into intentions you can act upon to bring about change in line with your best vision for yourself and your family.

Session 8:

We reinforce what you have gained, reviewing the journey and your long-term goals, and celebrating the new path you are on as a result of your commitment and determination.

Please Note

Parent Coaching is a future-oriented approach to change that assumes clients are mentally and emotionally healthy, capable of making sound decisions on behalf of themselves and their families. The coaching process supports healthy clients to define personal goals, strive toward greater life satisfaction and reach a fuller potential. 

 

Coaching is not a replacement for therapeutic interventions such as counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatry or any other form of mental health service. If you have any mental health or safety concerns regarding yourself or your family, please consult with a mental health care practitioner or other professional who can help you stabilize and ensure safety for you and your loved ones.
